With deep sorrow and great sadness, we heard about the sudden loss of an
esteem personality, our dear Dr. Satinder Nath Ganju loving called by his Pune
Family as Mamaji and affectionately by all others as Dr Ganju or Tothji .
Unfortunately, at a very young age, he lost his dear father Shri Dina Nath Ganju
in 1947 in the Muzafarabad, during the riots in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir. My
acquaintance with him was something special besides being the son-in-law, of
his dearest sister Mamij (Buju) and Papaji. I respected him and knew him as a
scientist who persuaded his goal of finding ways and scietific technics tirelessly
with great drive, and endless efforts. His goal in life was to move forward never
to stop.
Even though he had many setbacks in life, long before he started his career. He
never gave up. At the most crucial stage of life, he got great support and
encouragement from his sister Kanta (Jai Kishori) and his brother-in-law, Shri
P.N.Kaul Buju (Pune), who set him in the right state of mind and guided him to
follow his vision of becoming a great scientist one day.
He never forgot his main aim in life, dreaming and creating new medical
products. Besides his scientific career, his second great love and endless dream
was the progress of the Kashmiri society. He was an outstanding icon of the
Kashmir culture and society. His social contacts were enormous irrespective of
class, creed and religion. He was and will be loved, respected and admired by
all who happened to rub his shoulder against him long into the future. In his own
way, he was a very good conversationalist and communicator besides being an
infectious humorist.
His passing away has left a big gap not only in his family and close relations and
friends but also in the whole Kashmiri Biradari.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences, also on behalf of my wife Durga, our
son Ashok and family and our daughter Anita and family, especially to his
daughters Anita Kaul and family and Pamposh and family and all his relations.
Yes, a loving soul is no more with us but his ideals will carry fruits in the
future generation. May Shri Thakur bless his Atma and may he now rest in
everlasting peace and tranquility.
OM SHANTI OM!
Raviinder Nath Kaul (Germany)
